Organic Wine List

From the Vineyard to the Cellar

Approximately thirty years ago, a group of winegrowers embarked upon a journey, the destination being the creation of a perfect and natural viticulture. No more chemical fertilizers, weed killers, fungicides and other insecticides. The vineyards to be nurtured and pruned with passion and love, slow fruits allowed to ripen, surrounded by dragonflies and ladybirds, idyllic! If animals can entrust their serenity to these vineyards, why not also to us human souls?….

The grapes these craftsmen harvest each year, occasionally benefit commercially from the mention “grapes from organic farming”. But would it be justifiable to pick fine fruits if they are then overwhelmed with oenological cosmetics, tartaric acid, synthetic yeast and sulfuric dioxide? Consequently, this elite group of producers have gone to great lengths to certify that their vineyards have been worked cleanly, that their juice is vinified without synthetic chemistry. The result, the right to extol the virtues of their naturally fermented grapes with confidence and pride

Smashing Wines and Team Swan are honoured to be able to offer these unique and special wines. For us, wine is for sharing, It is the opportunity to evoke the feeling that comes to our mind when we nose the scent of a wine; to exchange our preferences in respect to appearance and palate. The craftsmen with whom we work are great enthusiasts. It is these men and women who give us the love of wine and entrust us with their treasures, which in turn we humbly wish to share with you all. Enjoy!
